Help! I can't make one of the scheduled dates of my course!
Our 6-week and 10-week courses are in high demand and usually full, meaning we can’t offer alternative dates if you can't make one of the classes. Don’t worry though — We'll be sure to catch you up on what you've missed in the next class, and in our throwing classes, we'll even try to throw some pieces for you so that you don’t fall behind the pace of the class.
-
Can I reschedule my class, workshop, or short course?
When you sign up to a class, we reserve that spot in the class for you. Therefore we are unable to refund or reschedule classes at short notice. Where there is more than 3 weeks before the start of the class, we’ll do our best to help by re-listing your spot, and if we can fill it, we will refund or reschedule your booking.

Do you offer drop-in classses or memberships?
Unfortunatley, we don’t offer drop in classes or memberships at the moment, though it is worth joining our mailing list for any updates.
We are regularly updating our class schedule to suit demand, and if we can facilitate drop-ins and memberships in the future, we'll be happy to let you know!

Do I have to bring my own apron?
We offer aprons for our stand-alone workshops and classes, but for those of you enrolling on a course, we ask you to bring your own with you, (any old thing will do!).
This helps us to avoid unnecessary washing of aprons between classes, and therefore helps us minimise our environmental impact (think along the lines of using your towel for a few days on the trot when staying in a hotel). Washing and drying aprons after every use is unnecessary: once a term (to keep the clay dust to a minimum) will do just fine! Thank you for your co-operation :)

Is there a limit to the work I can make?
We have a finite amount of kiln space, and so offer a set number of pieces included with each course, to ensure we can facilitate everyones work. Each student can take one large piece (up to 20cm wide 30cm high), and otherwise we ask you to keep pieces below 15cm wide and 20cm tall.
Before firing, clay is completely recyclable. We have an (almost) un-ending supply of clay for you to use, but we ask you to think carefully about the work you choose to fire to take home.

What are you doing to be eco-friendly?
We operate a triple bay-washing system at the studio. This means all waste clay is collected and reused, rather than clogging up the waterways and drain pipes. It also means we reuse A LOT of our water :)
All the sponges in the studio are made of plant cellulose. Potters go through a lot of sponges, and we don’t want make the sea turtles sad.
We’re striving towards a zero-waste status, and are currently formulating a plan to apply for B-corp status. Watch this space…
