Learn and perfect the basic thrown forms with these 6 fully-tutored sessions working on the potters wheel! This course is suitable for beginners, as well as those with previous experience who are looking to hone their technique.

In these mixed-ability classes, we pay attention to the foundations of working on the wheel, with a focus on developing the skills to throw perfect cylinder and bowl shapes every time.

During the 6 sessions, we’ll teach you how to throw, turn and glaze with intension, and how to achieve the shapes of your dreams! (Yes, we dream about ceramics...)

Complete beginners are welcome, as well as those looking to nail down these foundational thrown forms. In this class, each potter will have their own wheel, and with full support from our teachers, we will help each potter progress at their own speed.

Course includes:

• a wheel to yourself for the entire course

• unlimited practice clay

• complete (beginner-friendly) demonstrations to throwing, turning and glazing

• a choice of 6 studio glazes to experiment with in the 6th session

• up to 6 finished, fired pieces to take home (please see out FAQ’s for size limits)

Please:

• bring your own apron (any old thing will do!)

• wear clothes you're happy to get messy

• tie back long hair, cut fingernails short, and leave precious jewellery at home

• allow 4-6 weeks for work to be fired

DATES DON’T SUIT?

If you can't make one of the 6 classes, we'll catch you up on what you've missed in the following class, and will make some work for you where suitable, so that you’ll easily continue with the pace of the class on your return. We are unable to offer catch up classes.

BOOKING TERMS:

Our courses are non-refundable. We are a small independent studio, and as such, once a place has been booked, we reserve that space just for you!

If you wish to re-schedule your course with more than 3 weeks notice, we will re-list the space on our website. If we are able to re-sell your spot in the time remaining, we will allow you to reschedule. If we are not able to re-sell you spot, we will not offer rescheduling, but are happy for you offer your place to a friend.

PLEASE NOTE…

We require a minimum uptake of 4 potters to run this course. It is possible that, once confirmed, the course will be postponed in the event that the number of participants is insufficient. Should this happen, we may need to contact you to arrange an alternative date, or if unsuitable you will be refunded in full.
